Across the county, 5 of 25 venues that report it (17 not stated) have lit courts for evening play.
Three cities in King County are published here. Seattle came first, with twenty-four venues checked against Seattle Parks and Recreation's own records. Bellevue followed on 4 September 2026 with thirteen venues and forty-two courts read from the City of Bellevue's pages. Kirkland joined the same day with three venues and ten courts. Together that is forty venues and a hundred and forty-four courts.
The county is far larger than that. We hold a hundred and fifty-one imported records spanning twenty-eight King County cities, and outside those three, not one row has been checked against a named source, so none of them appears on this site. Redmond holds twelve records, Kent nine, Auburn seven, Issaquah and Mercer Island six each. All of them are waiting on provenance rather than on discovery.

The first contrast between the three cities is about roofs. Every one of Seattle's ninety-two courts is outdoor. Fourteen of Bellevue's forty-two are indoor, in three community centres and a fieldhouse. On a wet January evening the covered pickleball in King County is almost entirely on the east side of Lake Washington.
Within Seattle the courts cluster north and south: Green Lake Park East, Bitter Lake Playfield and Rainier Beach Playfield hold eight each. Bellevue's largest single count is the six indoor courts at South Bellevue Community Center, and its outdoor provision runs to four courts each at Crossroads, Eastgate and Lakemont.
Kirkland is a third case. Its ten courts are neither indoor nor outdoor here, because the City states which kind of court each one is ("6 pickleball courts", not six tennis courts striped for it) and never says whether they have a roof. All ten close at dusk, which answers the question in practice without answering it in the data.
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SeattleParks_SeattleCityGIS), checked 2026-09-03
Bellevue turned out to be the easy case: one City page states a court count for every venue it lists, so the work was reading rather than reconstructing. Kirkland was the same shape and arrived by a different route. It had been refused outright on an HTTP 403 during an earlier run, and on retesting the site simply answered.
Redmond is the pointed case. It holds twelve imported records, more than any unpublished city in the county, and it still refuses our request with a 403 today. Kent, Renton, Auburn, Issaquah and Mercer Island are unread, and there is no reason to assume any of them publishes as well as Bellevue or Kirkland does. This page reports three cities out of the twenty-eight in which we hold records.

Nobody has counted, and this page does not guess. What has been checked is a hundred and forty-four courts across forty venues in three cities: ninety-two outdoor in Seattle, forty-two in Bellevue and ten in Kirkland, every one confirmed against a source you can see. The county has thirty-nine cities and three are published here.
Seattle publishes a dedicated pickleball dataset through its GIS portal, listing court counts, lights, nets and restrooms per location, refreshed weekly. Bellevue publishes no dataset at all, but one City page states a court count for every pickleball venue it runs, indoor and outdoor, and links each to a park page carrying the address. Neither is normal. Most cities publish a list of park names and leave you to guess.
Not confirmed. Seattle Parks publishes locations, counts, lights and nets but no fee information, so every venue here shows cost as not stated rather than free. They are municipal park courts and are very likely free, but a likelihood is not printed as a fact. If you know otherwise and can point at a source, the correction link on any venue page reaches a real queue.
The Seattle dataset is refreshed weekly by the city and was last edited on 31 August 2026. It was read on 3 September 2026, and that date appears on every venue. No re-check cadence has been set yet, so the date is shown and you can judge how far to trust it.
The Washington state page lists every county and city we publish. Everything above is checked against a named source; how we verify explains the ladder we work down and what we refuse to do.
