About this place
The only venue in Bellevue where every court is pickleball and nothing else, since 1 September 2026. On 28 August the City announced that "responding to increasing community demand" it would convert the two dual-use outdoor sport courts at Eastgate Park into "a dedicated pickleball-only facility": tennis nets removed, and the four pickleball courts marked on those two courts made permanent. The park's own page lists "four dedicated pickleball courts" alongside a ballfield, picnic tables, a play area and nature trails. A follow-up project is planned to resurface the courts "with only pickleball lines, creating durable and consistent play conditions".
Getting there
14500 SE Newport Way, Bellevue, WA 98006, in the Eastgate neighbourhood in the south-east of the city. Nine street numbers along the same road, at 14509 SE Newport Way, is South Bellevue Community Center and its six indoor courts. The City publishes nothing about parking at the park.
What to expect
Four dedicated courts, no booking, and no published hours beyond the City's own phrasing: the courts "will remain first-come, first-serve and will be open during posted park hours". Two questions are open. The City does not say what, if anything, replaced the tennis nets it removed, so bring a net if you have one. And the resurfacing is announced rather than done, so the lines may still be the old dual-use markings. Lighting is not stated. The tennis players who used these courts have been directed to Silver Leaf, Lakemont, Spiritridge and Sunset, "all within approximately three miles of Eastgate Park"; Lakemont and Spiritridge are pickleball venues too.

Yes, as of 1 September 2026. The City removed the tennis nets from two dual-use sport courts and said the transition to pickleball-only use is permanent. Its pickleball page marks the venue "4 courts (dedicated)".
Will more Bellevue courts be converted?
Not according to the City. The same notice says the department "does not currently have conversions planned at any other dual-use courts in Bellevue".
