About this place

Six indoor courts, the largest single count in Bellevue, and the only venue in the city that publishes what it costs to play. Adult drop-in sessions are $4 for Bellevue residents and $5 for everyone else; family sessions are free, on condition that an adult and a child under 18 from the same household are on court together. It is also the only Bellevue venue that says who supplies the equipment: "We provide pickleball balls, nets, and poles. Participants should plan to bring their own paddles, but a few extras are available to borrow if needed."

Getting there

14509 SE Newport Way, Bellevue, WA 98006, in Eastgate. Nine street numbers away, at 14500 SE Newport Way, is Eastgate Park and its four dedicated outdoor courts, the only address pair in this directory putting a city's largest indoor venue and its only pickleball-only outdoor courts on one road. The City publishes no parking guidance for either.

What to expect

Turn up with a paddle, check in at the front desk, and pay at the door. Nothing can be held: "All Drop-In Sports times are strictly drop-in only", and "reservations, saving spots and/or signing in for another participant is not allowed". Capacity varies: "Each program has a different maximum capacity depending on the time/day and how much space there is available in the gym(s) that day." The gym is shared with badminton, basketball and volleyball drop-ins, so how many of the six courts are up depends on the session. Coaching is not permitted at drop-in sessions; clinics and classes are separate, registered and priced. The City also mentions play passes, with details at the front desk.

Thanks. Your review is in the queue: a person reads every one before it appears here, so it will not show up straight away.

Questions about South Bellevue Community Center

What does it cost?

$4 for Bellevue residents and $5 for non-residents, per adult drop-in session. Family drop-in sports are free, but a family session requires an adult and a child under 18 from the same household playing together. It is not a route for two adults.

Can I bring a coach?

Not to a drop-in session. The centre states that as a publicly owned facility it "cannot allow coaching of any kind at any of the Adult and/or Family Drop-In Sports Programs". Clinics and classes require registration.

Do you run South Bellevue Community Center?

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
