Six dedicated pickleball courts on the edge of downtown Kirkland. The City documented the changeover on this park's own page: the tennis courts "closed on Monday, April 13, 2026 for conversion to six dedicated pickleball courts", and "The new pickleball courts opened July 2, 2026 at 3 p.m."

Dedicated is the City's word. Most of what this directory publishes is a tennis court carrying a second set of lines, where the net is the wrong height and half the paint is for a different game. These are not that.

The park also has a lighted baseball field, a skate park, a basketball court, a seasonal swimming pool and the Peter Kirk Community Center, with the Kirkland Performance Center, Library and Transit Center next door.

Getting there

202 3rd St, Kirkland, WA 98033, in King County. The City says "Parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage or along Central Way." It does not say what the garage charges. The Kirkland Transit Center is next door, so this is the easiest of the three Kirkland venues to reach without driving. There is a year-round restroom on the west side of the park, and the City says public Wi-Fi is available.

What to expect

Six courts, open 8 a.m. to dusk daily, drop-in use only and first-come, first-served. You cannot book one, and Kirkland prohibits business use of its pickleball courts, including lessons, leagues and tournaments.

The six are split by position. The three nearest the skate park are open play: if all three are full and players are waiting, play one game to 11 points and rotate off. The three nearest the street are timed: when full with players waiting, limit play to 30 minutes and rotate.
