Outdoor Pickleball Courts in Austin, TX
22 venues in Austin, TX with outdoor courts. Every one has been checked against a named source, and the count above is drawn only from those, never from the imported records we have not confirmed.
Why this matters here
Every pickleball court in Austin is outdoor, all sixty of them across twenty-one venues, so this page is the city's whole published inventory rather than a slice of it. Austin does run indoor pickleball inside its recreation centres, and the City lists it in a separate section of the same page; none of it has been checked yet, so none of it is listed here. Austin pickleball, as far as it can currently be vouched for, is a daylight-and-floodlight proposition, in a city where summer afternoons are not when anyone chooses to play.
What puts a venue on this list
A venue appears here when the Austin Parks and Recreation Department states an outdoor court count for it on its pickleball locations page. Twenty-one qualify, from the single courts at Delta Pocket Park, Eastside Pocket Park, Mary Frances Baylor Clarksville Pocket Park and North Lake Creek up to the eight at the Austin Tennis and Pickleball Center. Where the City gives two figures, as in "2 Multi-purpose Outdoor Courts with striping for 4 Pickleball Courts", the smaller is the count of physical slabs and the larger is the count of pickleball courts marked on them. The pickleball figure is what counts, so that venue is four. Publishing the slab count would understate Austin by nineteen courts; the pickleball count gives sixty across twenty-one venues, thirty-nine striped onto shared surfaces and twenty-one dedicated. Balcones District Park does not qualify: the City lists it with "striping for Pickleball" and no number, and the Census geocoder cannot resolve its address.

What is deliberately not on this list
Nothing with only indoor courts appears here. Venues whose outdoor court count the operator does not state are also absent, because we do not assume a court is outdoor because we have not been told otherwise.
Questions about this list
How many of these are dedicated pickleball courts?
Twenty-one of the sixty. The rest are lines painted onto multi-purpose slabs shared with other sports. Eight of the dedicated courts are at the Austin Tennis and Pickleball Center alone; the others are at Austin High Tennis Center, Pan American, Rosewood, South Austin, Delta Pocket Park, Eastside Pocket Park and Mary Frances Baylor Clarksville Pocket Park.
What are the courts made of?
Not stated at any of the twenty-one. Austin describes what a court is striped for rather than what it is surfaced with, so every venue on this list reads "not stated" on surface.
Do the courts have set hours?
Yes, and Austin publishes them for every venue, which few operators in this directory do. Fifteen run "Open Play: 7 Days a Week, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m." The exceptions matter: Pan American loses its courts to roller derby on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and weekend mornings from 9 a.m., Austin High follows the school calendar, Hancock closes midday in term time, and South Austin opens at 8 a.m. rather than 7.
Which venues are in Williamson County?
North Lake Creek and Springwoods Neighborhood Parks, both at the far northern and north-western edges of the city. They are inside the Austin city limits and outside Travis County, which is why they appear on this list and on the Austin city page but on no county page.
Wider area
This list exists because at least three verified Austin venues match it; below three we would not publish the page at all rather than ship a list of one. See every venue in Austin, or how we verify for the source ladder behind each entry.
