About this place

Two pickleball courts striped onto one multi-purpose outdoor court at a recreation centre in central Austin, and the venue with the most restricted schedule in the city, because it follows the centre rather than park hours. During the school year the court is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with weekends 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. On summer and camp days the weekday daytime window disappears and play runs 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. only. No lighting statement is published.

That review did not go through. It needs a star rating, a name and at least twenty characters of text.

Questions about Hancock Recreation Center

When can I actually play?

In term time: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. On summer and school-year camp days: Monday to Friday 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. only, weekends 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Is it lit?

Not stated. No lighting statement appears in this venue's entry, which is worth noting given that some of its published windows run to 8:30 p.m.

Is the court indoors?

No. The venue is a recreation centre but the pickleball court is outdoor: one multi-purpose outdoor court striped for two. The City's indoor pickleball is listed in a separate section of its page that is not yet checked.

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.
