Pickleball at Garza Park in San Antonio, TX. Every fact below shows where it came from and when we checked it. 5 of 22 fields are confirmed, and the rest say so rather than guessing.

Placeholder image, not a photograph of this venue. We have not photographed Garza Park, and we would rather show a marked stand-in than a picture that implies we have. The correction link below reaches the same queue a photograph would.
Two outdoor pickleball courts in a 21.5-acre west-side park the City dates to 1972: "There are two outdoor pickleball courts."
The park's own history paragraph is the fullest of any San Antonio venue here. "Gilbert Garza Park, a 21.5 acre park at 1450 Mira Vista, was originally called Mira Vista for the street. Created in 1972, the park was soon re-named for Mayor Pro Tem Gilbert Garza, who died later that year." The City records that Garza was the son of immigrants from Monterrey, Mexico, an architect, and "only the third Hispanic to be elected to Mayor Pro Tem in San Antonio history".
Around the two courts: a community centre, fitness stations, a half-mile asphalt trail, softball fields for rental, a pavilion, a water feature and Wi-Fi.
1450 Mira Vista, San Antonio, TX 78228, in Bexar County. The US Census address geocoder matched it at house-number level as "1450 MIRA VIS", the Census abbreviation for Vista, and placed it in the incorporated place San Antonio city. The City writes the street without a type on both its directory and the park page.
The amenity list names "Regular Parking Spaces" and "Handicapped Parking Spaces" with no count.
Two courts is a game, not a rotation. If both are taken you wait, and the City publishes nothing about how long or how often that happens.
Hours are the City's park hours, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, under the directory's rule that "All other courts are available during park hours." Whether any of that window is lit is not stated: the page says "The outdoor tennis courts are lighted." and says nothing about the pickleball courts, and the directory warns that "Some courts are not lighted." A tennis lighting sentence is not carried across, so Garza's lighting is unknown and the safe plan is daylight.
No price is stated and no surface. The trail is asphalt; the courts are not described.

| Court availability | Two outdoor pickleball courts in a 21.5-acre park on the west side that the City's own page dates to 1972 and names for Mayor Pro Tem Gilbert Garza. The count is the City's sentence: "There are two outdoor pickleball courts." The page says the outdoor TENNIS courts are lighted and says nothing about lighting on the pickleball courts, so lighting here is recorded as unknown - the City's directory page warns that "Some courts are not lighted", which is exactly why a silence is not read as a yes. Park hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and the courts are first come, first served. Two courts is a game rather than a rotation. Price and surface are not stated. | sa.gov | 2026-09-07 |

Not stated. First come, first served is the City's play format, and no price is published either way.
The City's amenity list says "Portable Toilet" rather than "Restrooms", and that is the word this site records.
You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.
It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.
If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
