Pickleball at Warner Park in Madison, WI. Every fact below shows where it came from and when we checked it. 5 of 22 fields are confirmed, and the rest say so rather than guessing.

Placeholder image, not a photograph of this venue. We have not photographed Warner Park, and we would rather show a marked stand-in than a picture that implies we have. The correction link below reaches the same queue a photograph would.
Three outdoor courts on asphalt at a 213-acre park on Madison's north side, which the City calls "distinctive for its natural beauty and expansive tracts of land". The Warner Park Community Recreation Center stands in this park at the same street address and holds five indoor courts, published here as a separate venue because the City runs it as a separate facility with its own membership, ID card and booking system.
Three outdoor courts is mid-table for Madison, level with Elver and Tenney. What is not mid-table is the site: 213 acres, the second-largest park published here, and the only address in the city with both outdoor and indoor pickleball on it. Across this whole directory only twelve other places manage that, and at each of them the operator ran both as one facility, so one venue was published. Madison runs them as two, so there are two pages.
2930 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI 53704, matched by the Census geocoder to Madison city, Dane County. The recreation center shares that address, so if you are meeting someone, say whether you mean the outdoor courts or the gyms. They are different entrances to different things, and only one of them can be booked.
Three courts shared with tennis, on asphalt, first come first served, played over a tennis net about two inches taller than a pickleball net. Lighting is not stated outdoors. The genuine advantage here is the fallback: if the weather turns or the courts are taken, the recreation center in the same park has five indoor courts, though you will need a WPCRC ID and either a membership or a daily admission to use them. Nothing is published about restrooms or parking at the outdoor courts.

| Court availability | A tennis court striped for pickleball. Madison states that its dual-striped courts "use a tennis net which is about 2" taller than a standard pickleball net", so the net you play over here is a tennis net at tennis height. Individuals play first come, first served; leagues and lessons must reserve in advance. | cityofmadison.com | 2026-09-04 |

No. Only the recreation center's five indoor courts take bookings; the three outdoor ones are first come, first served for individuals, with leagues and lessons reserving in advance.
Asphalt outdoors. The gym floors at the recreation center are not described anywhere the City publishes, so that venue reads "not stated" on surface.
Not stated. Tenney Park is the only Madison venue whose courts the City marks as lighted.
You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.
It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.
If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
