About this place

Eight courts on asphalt, the largest outdoor pickleball count in Madison, in a 160-acre community park on the far east side. The City's line under "Tennis & Pickleball" reads "Courts: 8, asphalt", and the park's own description says what kind of courts they are: "tennis courts with shared pickleball courts". So this is the ordinary Madison arrangement at an unusual scale: eight courts of it, where the city's median venue has two.

Getting there

7035 Littlemore Dr., Madison, WI 53718, on the far east side in the Door Creek neighbourhood. The City lists five alternate access points for the park: 6901 Bluff Point Drive, 851 Harrington Drive, 7202 Cottage Grove Rd., 625 Highcliff Trail and a point between 533 and 601 Highcliff Trail. That is worth knowing in a park this size. It publishes nothing about parking, here or at any Madison venue.

What to expect

Eight shared courts is the most pickleball capacity outdoors anywhere in Madison, and the practical consequence is that this is the venue least likely to have you waiting. The courts are tennis courts striped for pickleball, so the net you play over is a tennis net, which the City notes is about two inches taller than a standard pickleball net. Individuals play first come, first served; leagues and lessons must reserve in advance. Lighting is not stated, and neither are nets.

Questions about Door Creek Park

Why did this park only appear recently?

Because of the address, not the courts. This site will not publish a venue whose street address does not resolve, and the Census address file has no record of 7035 Littlemore Dr. On 4 September 2026 a second resolver was added: OpenStreetMap, consulted only where the Census has nothing and accepted only when it returns the house number asked for. It resolves this address, so eight courts that had been refused now publish.

What is the surface?

Asphalt, stated in the same line as the count. Madison is the only city in this directory that publishes a surface for every one of its venues.

What else is in the park?

A great deal: 160 acres with a reservable shelter, a large playground, basketball courts, hiking trails, multipurpose fields, and from winter 2025-26 an ice rink with a staffed pavilion renting skis, skates and snowshoes. A cross-country ski permit is required.

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
