Pickleball at Nakoma Park in Madison, WI. Every fact below shows where it came from and when we checked it. 5 of 22 fields are confirmed, and the rest say so rather than guessing.

Placeholder image, not a photograph of this venue. We have not photographed Nakoma Park, and we would rather show a marked stand-in than a picture that implies we have. The correction link below reaches the same queue a photograph would.
One court on asphalt, the smallest pickleball venue in Madison, at a 5.21-acre park on the near west side. The City's page focuses on an arrangement rather than the sport: the playground between Thoreau Elementary School and Nakoma Park is jointly used under an agreement between the City and the school district. The pickleball is a single court striped onto the park's tennis court, which means that when someone is playing tennis, there is no pickleball here at all.
3801 Cherokee Dr., Madison, WI 53711, matched by the Census geocoder to Madison city, Dane County. It is a residential pocket of the near west side, adjacent to an elementary school, and the City publishes nothing about parking. On a five-acre neighbourhood park beside a school, treat that as street parking and expect school-run traffic at the obvious hours.
One court, shared with tennis, over a tennis net about two inches taller than a pickleball net. That is the whole venue. It is fine for a single game of doubles by arrangement and unsuitable for a group, and if the tennis court is in use there is no second court to fall back on. Norman Clayton Park and Westmorland Park, each with two, are the nearest published alternatives on this side of the city. No restrooms, parking, lighting or hours are published for Nakoma.

| Court availability | A tennis court striped for pickleball. Madison states that its dual-striped courts "use a tennis net which is about 2" taller than a standard pickleball net", so the net you play over here is a tennis net at tennis height. Individuals play first come, first served; leagues and lessons must reserve in advance. | cityofmadison.com | 2026-09-04 |

One, on asphalt: "Tennis & Pickleball / Courts: 1, asphalt". It is the only single-court venue published in Madison.
Then the court is taken. With one court and no dedicated pickleball surface, tennis and pickleball cannot both happen here, which is the practical reason a single-court overlay venue is worth reading carefully rather than counting as "has pickleball".
Not stated, like every Madison venue except Tenney Park. On a single court with no lighting statement, daylight is the safe assumption.
You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.
It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.
If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
