Pickleball at Elver Park in Madison, WI. Every fact below shows where it came from and when we checked it. 5 of 22 fields are confirmed, and the rest say so rather than guessing.
1250 McKenna Blvd., Madison, WI
Placeholder image, not a photograph of this venue. We have not photographed Elver Park, and we would rather show a marked stand-in than a picture that implies we have. The correction link below reaches the same queue a photograph would.
Three courts on asphalt in the largest community park Madison Parks runs, 250.82 acres in the south-west corner of the city. The City's own summary gives the scale: "The largest community park in Madison Parks, Elver Park spans an impressive 250 acres in the southwest corner of the city. Elver features two reservable shelters, a splash park, athletic fields, a disc golf course and more." The pickleball is three courts of that, striped onto tennis courts.
1250 McKenna Blvd., Madison, WI 53719, matched by the Census geocoder to Madison city, Dane County. On a 250-acre park the address is the entrance rather than the court, and the City publishes no guidance on where within the park to head or where to leave a car. Budget time to find them.
Three courts shared with tennis, on asphalt, played over a tennis net at tennis height. First come, first served for individuals; leagues and lessons reserve in advance. Three is an awkward number for rotation but a good one for arriving in a group of four with a spare. Lighting is not stated. The City publishes no map reference for where in 250 acres the courts sit, and no restroom or parking information for them. On a park this size that is a real gap.

| Court availability | A tennis court striped for pickleball. Madison states that its dual-striped courts "use a tennis net which is about 2" taller than a standard pickleball net", so the net you play over here is a tennis net at tennis height. Three, on asphalt, stated on Elver Park's page as "Tennis & Pickleball / Courts: 3, asphalt".
Not as an individual. Madison's outdoor courts are first come, first served; only leagues and lessons reserve. The one bookable pickleball venue in the city is indoors, at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.
Not stated. On a 250-acre park with shelters and a splash park there are facilities somewhere, but the City does not say where they are relative to the courts.
You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.
It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.
If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
