One city in Jefferson County is published here: Louisville, with sixteen venues and sixty-seven courts checked against the City's own pages.
Jefferson County is not an ordinary county for this purpose. Louisville and the county merged into one consolidated government, Louisville Metro, so the City of Louisville covers nearly all of the county. The Census geocoder names it two ways: "Louisville city" for addresses inside the pre-merger boundary and "Louisville/Jefferson County metro government (balance)" for the rest. Both are Louisville and both publish.
What the merger left behind is a set of small cities that stayed separately incorporated: Lyndon, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively and others. Not one of those has been read against a named source, so none appears anywhere on this site. Louisville Metro's own pickleball list includes a venue in one of them. Hounz Lane Park, with three courts at 2300 Hounz Ln., is run by the Metro parks department and placed by the Census in Lyndon city. It is refused from the Louisville page for that reason and named here rather than dropped.

What we cover is spread across sixteen parks rather than gathered into a complex, and the spread runs the whole length of the consolidated city. No two published venues share a postcode.
Charlie Vettiner Park's fourteen courts are the one large set, more than twice any other. Four parks hold six: Fern Creek, Hays Kennedy, Wyandotte and Nelson Hornbeck. Four hold four, Des Pres holds three, four hold two and two hold one. The parks themselves range from McNeely Lake's 746 acres and Iroquois's 725.85 to New Walnut Street's 5.74, and the courts are a single word on each park's amenity list, so at the large parks the address locates the park and not the courts.
Every one of the sixty-seven courts is outdoor on the City's word, and every park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on its own page, the same line at all sixteen. What the City does not publish is uniform too: no lighting, no price, no surface and no nets at any venue.

This is a Louisville page under a county heading, and in this county that is closer to the truth than usual, because the city is the county for most purposes.
The gap is the small cities. Lyndon, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively and the other separately incorporated cities inside Jefferson County have not been read, and nothing here says whether any of them publishes a court count of its own. Some may have no parks page to read, and their residents may play at Metro parks. That is what the Hounz Lane refusal illustrates: a court that exists, is counted by a municipal operator, and cannot publish, not for want of a fact but because of where the address falls.
Inside Louisville the gaps are of a different kind. Fern Creek and Riverview publish on the pickleball list alone, because their park pages do not mention the courts. The City says nothing about lighting, price, surface or nets anywhere, which means sixty-seven courts and not one answer to the questions people most often ask. Nothing outside the Metro parks department appears here: no club, no school, no commercial venue.

Nobody publishes an answer for the whole county. What has been checked is 67 courts across sixteen venues, all in Louisville, each with a source and a date you can see. Louisville Metro's own list names a seventeenth venue, Hounz Lane Park with three courts, that sits in Lyndon and is not published, and the county's other small cities have not been read.
Louisville Metro runs it and lists it with three courts, but the Census geocoder places "2300 Hounz Ln." in Lyndon city, a separately incorporated small city inside Jefferson County. A city page holds venues in that city, and who runs them is a separate question.
None that anyone can say. The City states no lighting and no price for any venue, so every Louisville court is recorded as not stated on both, and there is no lights page and no free page for the county. The only filter page is outdoor, which holds all sixteen venues.
We have not built the Kentucky state page yet. A state page needs at least three published cities before it is a document rather than a copy of the one city below it, and Kentucky has fewer than that today, so there is nothing honest to link up to. Everything above is checked against a named source; how we verify explains the ladder we work down and what we refuse to do.
