About this place

Two outdoor pickleball courts in the largest park published in Louisville. The park page describes it as "one of the largest in the Metro Parks system", 746 acres, acquired in 1961, with "a scenic 46-acre fishing lake with an accessible pier and boat ramp which is owned by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife" and the Korean War Memorial.

Two courts is a game rather than a rotation: a four can play, an eight will wait, and if both courts are taken there is nowhere else at this address to go. The amenity list is long, from boat ramps and canoe access through golf, hiking and horse riding trails to pickleball, restrooms and tennis, and pickleball is one word on it without a number. The count is the pickleball page's alone, and the park page confirms the courts exist.

Getting there

10500 Cedar Creek Rd, Louisville, KY 40229. The City prints the address with a leading asterisk and does not say on the page what the asterisk means; this site drops it. The US Census address geocoder matched the address at house-number level and placed it in "Louisville/Jefferson County metro government (balance)", the Census's name for the part of the consolidated city outside the pre-merger boundary. The City publishes nothing about parking. Restrooms are on the amenity list.

What to expect

Two courts and a very large park around them. Hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the park page, park hours rather than court hours. Lighting, price, surface and nets are not stated. The courts are outdoor on the City's sentence introducing its list.

With two courts and no published session, this is a venue for a pair or a four who arrive together, not for joining a game.

Questions about McNeely Lake Park

How many courts are there?

Two, on the City's pickleball page. The park's own page lists pickleball among its amenities without a count. Two courts is a game, not a rotation.

Why does the City's address start with an asterisk?

The park page prints an asterisk before the street number and does not explain the mark. This site publishes the address without it, and the Census geocoder matches it as written.

What else is in the park?

On the City's page: a 46-acre fishing lake with an accessible pier and boat ramp, the Korean War Memorial, a golf course, hiking and horse riding trails, restrooms and tennis, across 746 acres.

Do you run McNeely Lake Park?

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
