About this place

Three pickleball courts on a shared sports court in the western section of El Dorado Regional Park. The City's line gives 2800 N. Studebaker Rd. and "3 pickleball courts on a shared sports court."

Read moreShow less

The park is 272.5 acres, "Area I of El Dorado Regional Park", with a community centre, "night-lighted basketball and multi-use courts", softball and soccer fields, a skate park, a disc golf course, a tennis centre and a duck pond.

Getting there

2800 N Studebaker Rd, Long Beach, CA 90815, Los Angeles County. The City's pickleball page writes "2800 N. Studebaker Rd."; the park page's address block writes "2800 Studebaker Road". The US Census address geocoder matched "2800 N STUDEBAKER RD" at house-number level in the incorporated place Long Beach city.

The same address is published for the El Dorado Park Tennis & Pickleball Center, and the two are different venues. The City publishes nothing about parking at either. Restrooms are in the park's amenity list, and the page gives a phone number, (562) 570-3225.

What to expect

Three courts on a shared sports court, first come, first served, with the City's rider that "court signage regarding shared use must be observed". Three is an odd number for pickleball: one game and a court spare, or a small group rotating. Because the court is shared, what it is set up for when you arrive is not something the City schedules.

Lighting is the interesting gap. The City says the park has "night-lighted basketball and multi-use courts", but whether the shared sports court the pickleball sits on is one of them is not something it says, so lighting is recorded as unknown. The hours on the page are the community centre's and are not attached to the courts here.

No price is stated, no surface, and no indoor or outdoor word.

Questions about El Dorado Park West

How many courts are there?

Three, in the City's words "3 pickleball courts on a shared sports court". The park page itself lists multi-use courts and no pickleball line.

Is this the same as the El Dorado tennis centre?

No. Same address, two venues. These are three park courts under the first-come rule; the El Dorado Park Tennis & Pickleball Center has eight lit courts, a price and its own hours.

Is it free?

Not stated. First come, first served is the City's play format for its park courts, and no price is published either way.

Do you run El Dorado Park West?

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
