Why this matters here

Eleven of Mount Pleasant's nineteen courts are indoors, at three of its four venues, and the Town states it in the plainest way an operator can: its pickleball page is divided under two headings, Indoor and Outdoor, and the Senior Center, Park West Gym and The Deb Gym at Town Hall sit under the first. Indoor here means a gymnasium floor at a scheduled time. Nets are "provided for players to set up", and players are told to "enter at their designated time and prepare for breakdown a few minutes prior to end time". An indoor court in Mount Pleasant exists for its session and not otherwise. Between them the three gyms cover every weekday and, in the autumn of 2026, eight Sundays. None of them has an evening. The reason to want this page is a court that does not depend on daylight or weather, and Mount Pleasant has more of them than it has outdoor courts.

What puts a venue on this list

A venue appears here when the Town lists it under the Indoor heading of its pickleball page with a count. Three qualify. Park West, on "Park West Gym / 6 Courts", the largest indoor count in the town. The venue also holds four outdoor courts, which make up its ten and do not appear on this page. The Deb Gym at Town Hall, on "The Deb Gym at Town Hall / 4 Courts", qualifying on four through volleyball season because the count is stated and the reduction to two is printed beside it. The Senior Center, on "Mount Pleasant Senior Center 50+ / 1 Court", which carries its own conditions: players 50 and older, free for members, a guest fee for everyone else. What does not qualify is any court the Town lists under Outdoor: Miriam Brown's four and the Park West tennis courts' four. The Park West four are the town's only lit courts, so evening play in Mount Pleasant is an outdoor matter.

When can I play indoors in Mount Pleasant?

Park West Gym Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am to noon and listed Sundays; the Deb Gym Mondays 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Wednesdays 9:00 am to noon and Fridays 8:00 am to noon; the Senior Center Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 to 4:50 pm and Friday 3:00 to 5:50 pm.

Is there an evening indoor session?

Not one the Town prints. Every indoor session on its page is a weekday morning or afternoon, or an autumn Sunday morning at Park West Gym. The evening group plays outdoors on the lit Park West tennis courts.

Why are there sometimes only two courts at the Deb Gym?

Volleyball season. From September 18 to October 31 the Town says open gym "will only be played on two pickleball courts"; in the other weeks it is four.
