About this place

Four indoor pickleball courts in the gym at the Town's Municipal Complex on Ann Edwards Lane, listed on the Town's pickleball page as "The Deb Gym at Town Hall / 4 Courts" under its Indoor heading.

Read moreShow less

The Town's paragraph is the same one it prints for Park West Gym: "Drop-in play is free. All players MUST sign in. Only water allowed inside the gym. NO OTHER FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED." Nets are provided for players to set up; balls and paddles are yours to bring.

The season is what is particular to this gym. The Town states that during volleyball season, Friday September 18 through Saturday October 31, all pickleball open gyms will only be played on two pickleball courts. Four is the stated count; two is what to expect for six weeks of the autumn.

Getting there

100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The US Census address geocoder matched "100 ANN EDWARDS LN, MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, 29464" at house-number level, in Charleston County, in the incorporated place Mount Pleasant town.

The Town publishes nothing about parking, transit or restrooms at Town Hall. You sign in on arrival, and only water goes into the gym with you.

What to expect

Three weekday sessions, all free, all in daylight hours: Mondays 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Wednesdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Four courts is two games at once, in the weeks when all four are up.

Check the date before you go. The Town lists the days the gym is closed to pickleball: Labor Day, September 7; a Town wellness fair on Wednesday, September 16; Veterans Day, November 11; the day after Thanksgiving, November 27; and Christmas Day.

Enter at the designated time, sign in, and be ready to break the nets down a few minutes before the end. Those are the Town's instructions for its gyms. Bring balls and paddles. The Town says nothing about surface or about how busy the sessions get.

Questions about The Deb Gym at Town Hall

How many courts are there?

Four, in the Town's words "The Deb Gym at Town Hall / 4 Courts", reduced to two during volleyball season, September 18 to October 31.

Is it Ann or Anne Edwards Lane?

The Town's page uses both spellings. The venue entry, the Town's footer and the Census address file all say Ann, and that is what publishes.

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
