About this place

Twelve pickleball courts at an athletic complex off Diehl Road on the north side of Naperville, the largest count published in the city.

Read moreShow less

The twelve is the Park District's own arithmetic in one sentence: "Nike Sports Complex has 4 dedicated pickleball courts and there are 8 lit tennis courts lined for pickleball; participants must provide their own nets". Four are pickleball courts in their own right. Eight are tennis courts carrying pickleball lines, and those eight are the ones the District calls lit. It says nothing about lights on the four dedicated courts, so this venue's lighting is recorded as unknown.

Ballfields, a cricket field, basketball courts, fitness stations, ice rinks, a synthetic field, picnic shelters and tennis courts share the ground. In January 2026 the District was awarded a $600,000 state grant for improvements it expects to build from late 2026 through 2028.

Getting there

288 W Diehl Road, Naperville, IL 60563, in DuPage County. The address resolves through OpenStreetMap rather than the US Census address file, which holds no record of it.

The District lists "Parking Spaces" among the amenities and publishes a parking map, the only one of the three published Naperville venues with one. A paved trail runs north-south with "a connection to the pickleball courts" and joins the sidewalks on Diehl Road and North Mill Street. Restrooms are listed, on a seasonal schedule the District asks you to check.

What to expect

Twelve courts is enough for a rotation, which makes this the one Naperville venue where turning up alone is a reasonable plan, provided you bring a net. The District's sentence ends "participants must provide their own nets", and nothing on the page exempts the four dedicated courts.

After dark the eight lined courts are the ones the District calls lit, and the four dedicated courts carry no lighting statement at all. The District publishes no hours, no price, no surface and nothing about when the courts are busy. It states on its Park It page that the courts are outdoor.

Questions about Nike Sports Complex

Do I need to bring a net?

Yes. The District's sentence ends "participants must provide their own nets", and it says nothing about nets being supplied on any of the twelve.

Is it free?

Not stated. The District publishes no price and no hours for these courts, so the fee is recorded here as unknown rather than as free.

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
