About this place

Three outdoor pickleball courts, and the one place in Tallahassee where the City says the courts can be used after dark. Its line reads "night play is available". The City's word is "night play", not "lighted", and that phrase is the whole basis of the lighting answer published here. It is the only lighting statement the City makes for any of its pickleball venues. The courts are first come, first play only.

The centre's own page says Walker-Ford opened on June 13, 1976, and gives hours of Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 9:00pm. The centre is on the City's indoor schedule with Open Play on Tuesday and Friday mornings 9:00am-1:00pm and Thursday evenings 7:00pm-8:30pm, but no indoor count is stated, so only the outdoor three publish.

Getting there

2301 Pasco Street, Tallahassee, FL 32310. The US Census address geocoder matched "2301 PASCO ST, TALLAHASSEE, FL, 32310" at house-number level, in Leon County inside the incorporated place Tallahassee city, and the centre's own contact block prints the same address and adds the postcode. That page also heads its hours block "2301 T-Pain Lane | 850-891-3970", the same number on a differently named street, and the Pasco Street spelling publishes because the pickleball page, the contact block and the Census all share it.

The City publishes nothing about parking or restrooms. The phone number is 850-891-3970.

What to expect

Three first come courts, usable at night on the City's word, and nothing else scheduled. Three courts is an odd number for pickleball: one game and a spare, or a rotation for a small group. The 90 minute limit applies when others are waiting, no price is stated, and surface is not stated.

The lighting answer is the reason to come, and it is worth being exact about. The City's phrase, "night play is available", is a statement about playing after dark rather than about lamps, and the courts are published as lit on that reading, with the phrase printed beside them. Nothing on the page says how late.

Court availability
Three outdoor pickleball courts near Florida A&M, and the one place in Tallahassee where the City says the courts can be used after dark: "3 courts - night play is available". The City's word is "night play", not "lighted", and it is published here as a lighting answer on that phrase. The courts are "No Open or Reserved Play - FCFP Only": first come, first play, 90-minute limit when others are waiting, no price stated. The centre's indoor court has Open Play on Tuesday and Friday mornings and Thursday evenings, but the City states no indoor count, so nothing indoor is published. The imported dataset carried this centre as six courts, three indoor and three outdoor; the City's page says three, outdoors, and that is what publishes. Surface is not stated.

Do you run Walker-Ford Community Center?

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
