Cities we publish in Clark County

What we cover here

Two cities in Clark County are published here: Las Vegas, with five venues and nineteen courts checked against the City's own pages, and Henderson, with seven venues and 33 courts checked against three City of Henderson pages read in a browser. That is twelve venues and 52 courts with a source and a date on each. North Las Vegas has not been read, and neither has Clark County's own parks department.

Las Vegas publishes five City parks: Durango Hills with seven courts, Aloha Shores and Lorenzi with four each, Centennial Hills and Patriot with two each. Henderson publishes two recreation centres and five parks: Black Mountain Recreation Center with 18 outdoor courts, Silver Springs Recreation Center with four of which three are indoor, Mission Hills Park with three shared with tennis, and Aventura Park, Siena Heights Trailhead, Sonata Park and Sunridge Park with two shared with tennis each.

Both cities count more courts than publish here, and the missing venues are named rather than dropped: three in Las Vegas holding sixteen courts, and seven in Henderson, six holding seventeen courts and the seventh a practice wall. In every case but the wall, the missing fact is an address.

How the courts are spread

The shape differs between the two cities. Las Vegas spreads nineteen courts across five parks with no complex among them. Its largest published count, Durango Hills' seven, is at a park built around an 18-hole executive golf course, and the largest count the City states, Police Memorial's eight, is absent for want of an address that resolves. Henderson gathers more than half of its 33 at one address, Black Mountain Recreation Center's 18, under a City heading that says "OUTDOOR PICKLEBALL COURTS", and holds the county's only published indoor courts, three at Silver Springs Recreation Center.

Eleven of Henderson's courts sit under "PICKLEBALL & TENNIS COMBINED", shared with tennis and on no stated side. Neither city states a surface, a price or a light for any court. Las Vegas states park hours of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. at every venue; Henderson states no hours at all.

What is missing

This is a two-city page under a county heading. North Las Vegas has not been read, and neither have Clark County's own parks.

The City of Las Vegas counts thirty-five courts at eight parks on one post, and nineteen are here. The City of Henderson counts fifty at thirteen facilities on one page, and 33 are here. The missing thirty-three fail on boring facts. In Las Vegas, two addresses no resolver finds and one the City never prints. In Henderson, six addresses (Blooming Cactus, Dundee Jones, Montagna, Whitney Mesa, Weston Hills and the Downtown Recreation Center) that neither the US Census address file nor OpenStreetMap finds as the City writes them, and a seventh facility, Whitney Ranch, refused because the City lists it under "INDOOR PICKLEWALL COURTS" and a wall is not a court.

Lorenzi and Patriot are counted on the City's pickleball post alone; neither park page mentions pickleball. And lighting, price and surface are stated for no court anywhere in the county, so a reader gets a count, an address and, in Las Vegas, a clock. No club, commercial venue or homeowners' association appears here, because none of them publishes a source that has been read.

Questions about Clark County

How many pickleball courts are there in Clark County?

No honest page can tell you the county total. What has been checked is 52 courts across twelve venues, 19 at five Las Vegas parks and 33 at seven Henderson venues, each with a source and a date. The two cities together count 85 on their own pages; the other 33 lack a usable address, and one is a practice wall.

Are the courts on this page free?

Not stated, in either city. Las Vegas publishes no price, and "Drop in for a pop-up game" on its post is a play format rather than a fee. Henderson publishes no price either and says only that courts can be reserved by calling its Sports Office.

Are there indoor courts in Clark County?

Three that an operator states: Silver Springs Recreation Center in Henderson, under the City's "INDOOR PICKLEBALL COURTS" heading, with a fourth court under a heading that gives no side. Henderson also counts three indoor courts at its Downtown Recreation Center, but "50 Van Wagenen St." resolves nowhere.

Wider area

We have not built the Nevada state page yet. A state page needs at least three published cities before it is a document rather than a copy of the one city below it, and Nevada has fewer than that today, so there is nothing honest to link up to. Everything above is checked against a named source; how we verify explains the ladder we work down and what we refuse to do.
