Read moreShow less

The City's amenities page pairs Edison Park with 21377 Magnolia St. and a count of "4 Courts", under the heading "CITY PARKS WITH A PICKLEBALL COURT (NO LIGHTING)". Four courts is enough for two games at once.

Edison appears on more of the City's amenity lists than any other pickleball park in the city: restroom, basketball court, handball court, skate park, sports field, tennis court, volleyball court and walking loop. The tennis courts are lit, open "Dusk to 10 p.m. nightly" on the Tennis & Pickleball Information page. The pickleball courts, on the City's other page, are not.

Getting there

21377 Magnolia St., Huntington Beach, CA 92646. The US Census address geocoder matched the address at house-number level and placed it in Orange County, in the incorporated place Huntington Beach city.

The Edison Community Center is at the same address, (714) 960-8870, and is one of the four places the City says a player can register in person for its tennis and pickleball programmes. The City publishes nothing about parking. There is a restroom, stated on the amenities page.

What to expect

Four courts and no lights. Two games can run side by side, and all of it ends at dusk.

The thing to be careful of at this address is the other set of courts. The City's tennis page gives Edison a lighted window of "Dusk to 10 p.m. nightly" and says tennis courts "may be reserved at the Murdy Community Center, (714) 960-8895, for $9 per hour". Both facts belong to tennis. The pickleball courts have no stated hours, no stated price and no stated reservation system.

The City publishes no surface, no parking and nothing about busy periods. What it does offer is instruction: OC Racquet Sports runs clinics the City describes in terms of "tennis or pickleball goals".

Are the courts lit?

No, stated by the City under "CITY PARKS WITH A PICKLEBALL COURT (NO LIGHTING)". The lighted courts at this address that run to 10 p.m. are tennis courts.

Not stated. The City prices reserved tennis courts and says nothing about the cost of pickleball, so the fee is recorded here as unknown rather than as free.

Do you run Edison Park?

What claiming does and does not doShow less

You can claim this listing and correct anything on it. To be clear about what claiming does and does not do: it gives you control of your own facts and a channel to reach us, and it is shown on the page as confirmed by the venue with the date you confirmed it.

It does not mark the listing verified, because a claim tells us who you are rather than checking what is here, and those are different things. It also buys no ranking, no sorting and no placement advantage over an unclaimed venue. The moment claiming bought position this would be an advertising product rather than a directory, and the whole promise would be gone.

Something wrong here?

If you play here and this is out of date, tell us. Corrections come with a source and a date attached, the same as everything else, and a correction that changes a court count gets checked against the city record before it goes live.
