Pickleball Courts in Utah County, UT

Two cities in Utah County are published here: Lehi, with six venues and sixteen courts, and Orem, with three venues and twenty-two courts. Nine parks and thirty-eight courts between them, every one run by a city parks department.

Lehi's counts come from one page, "Welcome to Lehi City Parks", where each park has an "Address:" line and an amenity sentence in which the City counts what it has: "2 pickleball courts", "6 pickleball courts", "1 pickleball court". Orem's come from one page per park with a "Location:" line and an amenity list.

Provo, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Springville, Spanish Fork and the County's own parks have no file behind this page, so none appears here. Both Cities name more courts than publish: Lehi counts courts at eleven parks and six of them can be placed, and Orem's Cascade Park carries "Pickleball/Tennis Courts" and no number at all.

Thirty-eight courts sit in nine parks. Orem holds three of the nine venues and twenty-two of the courts; Lehi holds six venues and sixteen.

Hillcrest Park's twelve, at 650 E 1400 S in south-east Orem, is the largest set in the county, and the City divides it on purpose: "6 Pickleball courts can be reserved for private use" through its online link, and six are held for the public on its "Paddle Rotation System". Two venues have six: Sharon Park at 600 N 300 E in north-east Orem, and Holbrook Farms Park on Drexler Drive in north-west Lehi, the largest count Lehi states at any park. Bonneville Park in Orem has four, Olympic Park in west Lehi three, and Allred, Stagecoach Large, Watercress and Centennial have two, two, two and one.

Lighting splits the county once. Bonneville's "Four Lighted Pickleball Courts" are the only lit courts either City states, and the other thirty-four carry no lighting answer either way. No page in either city states a price or writes the word free, and neither City states indoor or outdoor, surface or hours for a court. Every Lehi venue shares the 84043 postcode; Orem's three sit in 84097 and 84057.

The largest gap is inside Lehi, and it is an address problem rather than a court problem. The City counts courts at eleven parks and prints an address for each, but five of those addresses resolve in neither the Census address file nor OpenStreetMap as written: "3050 W. Traverse Mountain Blvd" for Shadow Ridge Park, "3109 W. Allred Dr." for Salix Park, "1987 West 1450 South" for South Creek Park, "2108 S Bullrush Pkwy" for Spring Creek Park and "2333 W. Northridge Dr" for Northridge Park. Twelve stated courts wait behind the first four. Northridge would be refused in any case, because "a pickleball court" is an article and not a number. In Orem the gap is one park: Cascade carries "Pickleball/Tennis Courts" and no number, and its page answered 404 on the day it was read.

Neither City states a surface, a court's hours, or whether any court is indoor or outdoor. Lehi states no lighting for any court, and its "pavilion lighting" at Centennial lights a pavilion. Hillcrest's "Hours of Operations: Monday-Saturday from 10:00am-8:00pm" sits under the heading "Splash Pad Hours", so it is not read as court hours.
